Who’s ready for a super quick Mason jar cover pattern!?
This is my all time favorite thing I’ve made!! (and use…)
I use it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
These things are perfect for any quart jar! I usually use a Ball jar, but this will do for any brand!
The Kerr jars have less of a shoulder to them, so it’s probably best to make the last round a little tighter if that’s the jar you’re going to be using, so it isn’t slipping off!
These things are really versatile too! They make really good dish scrubbers… And you can toss them in the washer and dryer as much as you need to! Just make sure to weave in the ends really well…
Depending on your preference, you can either do one or two chains in between each bobble stitch, I prefer doing one so it hugs the jar a little tighter, but that’s all dependent on tension.
Speaking of tension, when you get to the second bobble row, make sure to test fit it on your jar! There’s nothing worse than finishing a project, and realizing that it doesn’t fit AT ALL and having to frog it!!
The one I make in the video was going to be a birthday gift for a friend, but I realized too late that I used too big of a hook to be doing the ch 2 version… OOPS! So I’ll just have to keep it for myself and make her another one… 😉
Unless you’re a really messy person, you won’t need to wash this super often, just make sure you don’t use white, so spills won’t show… I mean, unless you drink wine out of a quart jar, LOL. You might have to wash it a bit more often in that case, if you can still see straight!!
Below is a video that takes you through the entire process! Please make sure to hit like and subscribe if you haven’t already! There should be a button on the right-hand sidebar! THANK YOU!!
