Well folks, here it is! The One Skein Jumbo Scarf pattern! And it’s FREE!

This is a VERY quick pattern! It takes one skein of Bernat Blanket Stripes, and only about an hour to crochet! I used a 12mm. hook, but depending on your gauge, you may want to go a little smaller. Follow the pattern, and if you don’t like it at row three or four, go up or down a hook size.
If you want to crochet this scarf in a yarn other than Bernat Blanket yarn, make sure that your hook matches the yarn. This is more of a basic guide to making a jumbo scarf than a gauge specific pattern. With that out of the way, let’s get to the pattern!
The One Skein Jumbo Scarf
Materials:
- 1 skein Bernat Blanket Stripes. I used Meadowbrook.
- A 12mm. crochet hook. I use this one.
- A tapestry needle
Stitches Used:
- fdc – Foundation Double Crochet
- dc – Double Crochet
- ENDC – Ending Double Crochet
Instructions:
- Leave enough yarn to weave in, fdc 14.
- Ch 2, turn, dc 13, ENDC.
Repeat Row 2 for Rows 3-66. With my tension, 66 was where I ran out of yarn. If you need to do fewer rows, don’t sweat it! Just make sure you leave enough yarn to weave in.
Weave in your ends with the tapestry needle.
